• A native of Spain, has won 5 career singles titles, 20 career doubles titles, and has represented Spain in the Fed Cup.
• Made WTT debut in 2018 with the New York Empire. Named 2018 WTT Female Rookie of the Year.
• In 2019, partnered with fellow Empire doubles specialist Skupski to reach the Australian Open Mixed Doubles semifinals.
• Captured the 2018 Mallorca Open doubles title, reached the finals at the Brisbane International, Doha Qatar Total Open, and the Charleston Volvo Car Open. Reached the Madrid Open semifinals and Roland Garros quarterfinals (w/ Klepac). Also appeared in the Australian Open Mixed Doubles semifinals (w/ Demoliner).
• Reached career-high doubles ranking of No. 4 in 2010 after a semifinal showing at the French Open.
• Advanced to the quarterfinals or better in doubles at every major; twice semifinalist at the French Open and once at Wimbledon. During singles career, progressed to the third round at all four Grand Slam events.
• Two-time Olympian (2008 and 2012) and has appeared in 10 Fed Cup ties for Spain, most recently in February 2019.
• Returned to tennis in 2015 after becoming a mother in December 2013 to daughter, Andrea.
